Consulting FAQ
Everything you need to know before starting a consulting engagement with edjitsu.
Getting Started
How do we start a consulting engagement?
Start with a free 30-minute discovery call via the Contact page. We discuss your challenge, scope the work, and agree on an engagement model (fixed-price, T&M, or retainer) before any contract is signed.
What areas does edjitsu consult in?
Our consulting covers automotive embedded software, AUTOSAR architecture, SDV platform design, AI/ML integration for embedded systems, HIL/SIL test infrastructure, and DevOps toolchains for embedded teams. See the Consulting page for the full scope.
What engagement models are available?
We offer three models:
- Fixed-price — for well-defined deliverables such as audits, architecture documents, and proofs of concept.
- Time & Materials — for exploratory or evolving scope where requirements emerge during the work.
- Retainer — for ongoing advisory and review work, with a monthly hour bucket and regular check-ins.
We agree the model before signing — no surprises.
Do you work with international clients?
Yes. Consulting is delivered remotely to clients in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. On-site visits can be arranged for larger engagements or critical project phases — travel costs are agreed upfront and itemised separately.
Scope, Pricing & Terms
What is a typical project timeline?
Audits and feasibility studies typically take 2–4 weeks. Architecture design or integration engagements run 4–12 weeks depending on scope and complexity. Retainer arrangements are ongoing with monthly check-ins and quarterly scope reviews.
How is consulting priced?
Engagements are scoped and quoted individually based on complexity, duration, and the expertise required. We provide a detailed proposal — with a fixed total or a T&M rate card — before you commit. There are no hidden fees. Get in touch to discuss your project.
What deliverables can I expect?
Deliverables are agreed at scoping and vary by engagement type: architecture documents, code reviews with annotated findings, PoC implementations, integration guides, test strategy reports, or ongoing advisory notes. Everything is documented and handed over in full at project close.
What NDA and IP arrangements are standard?
All engagements are covered by a mutual NDA as standard. All work-product IP created during a project is assigned to the client upon final payment. We do not retain rights to your code, architecture documents, or designs.
